Wax Removal

Wax is protective to our ears. It shouldn’t be cleaned off just for the heck of it! Until and unless it’s causing pain, hearing problem or protruding out of the ear canal causing cosmetic impairment or the doctor needs to clean it to see the eardrum, it shouldn’t be taken out. Having said that, use of earbuds should be actually banned! They just help pushing the wax deep inside the canal causing various infections, pain, injury and possible rupture of the ear drum. Wax in the ear is removed by the ENT specialist using a wax probe / currete or by suctioning it out.
